Membrane Traffic in Animal Cells

Animal cells are best studied in the membrane trafficking field. We have started working on them recently.

In vertebrate cells, the Golgi accumulates in the centrosomal region of the cell due to the action of dynein motor along microtubules. This has hampered live imaging. Now SCLIM2 we develop can challenge animal cells as well thanks to its amazing spatiotemporal resolutions. We will also investigate the roles of membrane trafficking in nerve cells in higher-order functions.
